Delete any configurations that were created on the road. Scan for
network. A new configuration is created when that happens. Go into
connectivity menu. Find the review configurations option. Press backspace
with dots 1, 4. Give the new configuration a name such as Powells. Leave
all settings at this point as they normally are. Go to main menu. Try to
connect to one of your favorite web sites. If you do so, everything should
be good to go. If not, get the Wep code for that new site. Go back into
your new configuration, press backspace with C again. and change use
WEP to yes instead of no. When typing in the WEP, capitalize all letters
in the code. Some say this doesn't make much difference but it did in my
situation. The WEP should be entered in computer braille. Once changes
are saved, try connecting to a favorite web site again. You should be good
to go.
When I was at our state convention, I found a network at our hotel called
air2data.com. The hotel gave us a card with two numbers on it, the first
was a logon number and the other a password. After speaking with an
air2data staff person on the phone, I found I had to go on line and enter
both numbers. Once I did this, I was good to go! I could get the network
at first but couldn't do anything with it till I had the logon number and
the password number which I gave once while on the phone with the network
representative. Once I had that in place, I could go on web sites and get
my Email right from the hotel. If a network is not secure, you should be
able to get right on it! You should be able to get your own network once
you are home again!

page message, and the error message with email that indicates I'm not
connected. I'm beginning to wonder if I'll be able to connect to my
network when I get back home again. It's just too weird to have wireless
working so well and then not work twice in a row from two different
sites. It detected IP and dns addresses, and looked the same as my connec
tions that have worked in the past, but they didn't work. (sigh)
Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions for future connections?
