Dean,
I am sure your user studies support your decisions here and I am new to
working in this way but Microsoft could have said the same about sighted users.
Sure we all lose files in subdirectories sometime but I would say the benifits
of a deep directory tree outwieigh the occassional boobs.
Of course I recognise that the VoiceNote is not a laptop and I am aware that I
am tempted to think of it as a laptop and have large numbers of documents at my
disposal at any time. Perhaps most users only deal with a few documents at any
time and so can work with a flat dile structure.
Anyway thanks for your reply.

Hi Graham,
Humanware has made the default folder mode the way it is, to prevent users
who do not understand the file and folder structure, creating a folder
within a folder or a file several layers down that they then can't find at a
later date.
However we are always open to suggestions and we are always investigating
ways in which we can improve on existing functionality.
Regards,

Subject: RE: [Braillenote] Folders
I understand this now. I had not realised tyhat the VoiceNote did not show
the directory structure by default. It seems a really clunky way to
navigate directories to me but I do understand how to do it now.
This being able to see either folders or files seems unecesary to me. As
all folders are preceded with a slash why not make files and folders visible
at all lebels? I don't suppose there is a way to change this?
