The dot 4 is being inserted into wordprocessing documents. For example,
the
word dog might show up d%og, where the percent sin is the random dot 4
insertion. The dot 4's are translated as percents. Sorry for the
confusion,

This is Joseph. I believe it got something to t=do
with the braille display. (If you didn't realized, I'm
also a student myself.) HumanWare recommends that you
send your unit back at least once a year to clean the
braille display. I hope this information may help you.
