Hiya,
I'll do this as soon as my BrailleNote comes back from the shop. It's in now for the issue I wrote about last week; locking up randomly. Thanks, this is a good suggestion.

Hi Caitlin,

If you like, send me a private EMAIL and write it with your BN or M-power. If it is a keyboard problem as you say, the dot four should show in my copy of your post. I'd like anyone with this problem to do the same if they like. I think this would con firm that this is indeed a keyboard problem. It could be a good way to document this for certain.

Thanks much!

Jim Aldrich

Thanks. I'll probably ask them about this; I do send my BN in for the annual display cleaning, but this isn't a display issue but a keyboard one I think. The dot 4 is being inserted into wordprocessing documents. For example, the
word dog might show up d%og, where the percent sin is the random dot 4
insertion. The dot 4's are translated as percents. Sorry for the confusion,
and thanks for the advice.

This is Joseph. I believe it got something to t=do
with the braille display. (If you didn't realized, I'm
also a student myself.) HumanWare recommends that you
send your unit back at least once a year to clean the
braille display. I hope this information may help you.
