Free e-mail is actually a misnomer anyway because you can't have an
e-mail account with hotmail for example with out a connection to the
internet and if you have that connection then you have an e-mail. Or at
least I never have heard of a service where you only get a connection
and nothing else unless of course you can afford a T line

Okay,
In general yes, you have to pay for the internet. Your internet service
provider will charge you. A lot of times there are package deals where
you can get your cable, phone and internet for one price and on the same
bill. When you sign up, you get an e mail account with your ISP. You'll
have to research it out. Now, yahoo, hotmail, and I believe Google have
free e mail accounts. I used one of them when I didn't like going
through my student account at school. Some people have more than one
account.

I am interested maybe in e-mail and internet. What are you saying I
would have to pay? How can it be free if you have to pay. You are
contradicting yourself. Please explean better. I am trying to see if
there is a program I can afford and if it is worth it. Thanks. Terry

It is true that yahoo acounts are free, but any new acounts created you
have to pay if you want to be able to access your yahoo acount through a
client. It is the same way with Hotmail. My hotmail acount was created
before this new policy, so I can still access it through Outlook
Express.
