Evelyn, I believe I know what might be happening, at least with your thumb keys. When you press space with o, then p, to check the power status, you are probably accidentally typing an f instead. This turns off your thumb keys.
I agree with Jonathan that you could be holding the space bar a tiny bit too long while typing. For instance, when typing a word that begins with a, if you don't fully release the space bar before typing the a, you will move one line up in your document. I've done this kind of thing occasionally ever since I started using a Braille 'n Speak thirteen years ago. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Evelyn Weckerly Sent: Thursday, September 08, 2005 6:53 PM To: Braillenote List Subject: Re: [Braillenote] cursor routing queery Hi, I have been a Breaille user for decades and am coming off a BLT 40. AAll I can say is that my notes are somewhat garbled. The other problem I am having is that I am occasionally doing something that causes the immobilization of the thumb keys. This somethimes this happens when I am wanting to check the battery level. I have learned how to quickly turn them back on though.
