Good one Richard! I would any day rather lose my data from my BN than lose my whole life time belongings. Think of it this way. Losing a little data is a blessing in compairison to losing everything you have, even your home.

No technology will always work, and just as sighted people still rely on pens and pencils when all else fails, we must rely on technology that will usually work, like slates and/or Braille writers. Certainly, I understand frustration, my Braillenote crashed on three separate occasions, and I lost most of my data the first time. I purchased a cf card, so the next two crashes weren't nearly as devastating. However, no matter what kind of technology you have, failure is lurking, whether we know it or not. Look at it this way, you could have been a resident of New Orleans, kind of makes a dying Braillenote pale in comparison, eh? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jane Jordan Sent: Wednesday, September 28, 2005 3:14 PM To: Braillenote List Subject: Re: [Braillenote] Frustration with mybrailleNote My BrailleNote was gotten for me in 2001. The Braille display is much worse thushy, it's gone! I mean, I can't even get the exercise option to work in support mode. Looks like I will have to send it in now. And I don't know how i'll manage with Math! I just don't know! I have no backup.
