Hi, Don. I assume you have the latest active sync? That's odd because when I had first installed the software, it picked com 5 and active sync then showed com one through five. I did a restore from a backup and installed the d-link software again as I had some other problems with a network driver. This time, it chose com 4 instead of five. Did you try talking to their tech support to see if you could get it to choose a lower numbered port? D-link has 24 seven support for getting their program working. We had some problems and needed to talk to them the other evening.

Hi Paul,

The weird thing is that I can add a port, but the program picks the com port number. If I do that, it shows up in the combo box of possible ports, but there simply doesn't seem to be a way to select a port to be added or changed in the Belkin software.

Very strange and very frustrating. The other thing would be to try to get activesync to see this com18, but I haven't been able to figure out a way to do that either. It sees com 1 3 and 4 and that seems to be it as far as serial ports go.

Sure wish I knew what was up with all the port assignments between com4 and com18. There must be a couple of logical assignments in there somewhere, but I can't find any of them showing up anywhere in the system. But, there's got to be a way to get this MPower's bluetooth to work with this
pc.

Is that justification for a new computer? <grin>

Yes. See if you can delete that port and set it as com four or something.
Sometimes, there is an add button and a delete or remove button so you can
then reassign it.
