I exercise my display when I need to do so especially on my older unit. Sometimes the dots merge and I can barely see them from their normal state when off to when the display is suppose to be showing information. When I exercise the display, it pretty much restores the dots the way they are suppose to work. I'd give it a try but no guarantee it would fix the problem dot.

Humanware frowns upon exercising the display. that said it will do this
until the battery goes flat or until the display breaks. this is why
Humanware frowns upon this technique. I have never exercised my displays
on the braillenote or otherwise and I use them extensively! I leave this
kind of thing up to the professional. I can assure you that if you break
this display by trying to self-repair, it is going to take a long, long
time to get it fixed properly. It's your choice.
