Just a thought. Try lowering the BN so that your hands are at a
different angle. If you have it sitting on a table, maybe your fingers
are angled too flat for accurate brailling. So, play with the
ergonomics and see if placing the unit differently, maybe on your lap
makes a difference.

Hi,
I have been a Breaille user for decades and am coming off a BLT 40.
AAll I can say is that my notes are somewhat garbled. The other
problem I am having is that I am occasionally doing something that
causes the immobilization of the thumb keys. This somethimes this
happens when I am wanting to check the battery level. I have learned
how to quickly turn them back on though.

I'm not Jonathon, and I have nothing else to compare the BN to. But I
find the keyboard very fast and responsive. I bought it with fast
braille writing in mind and it hasn't disappointed me. It took a few
minutes to accustom myself to the feel and ergonomics of the keyboard,
but I'd say yes, definetly, fast notetaking is possible.
As long as your braille skills are good and depending how fast you
normally write braille, that is.

Hi, Jonathan,
I wrote about append mode to the list earlier this week. I do need
help with this if I am going to use my BN for note takeing. Does the
M Power keep up with fast note taking better?

Hi Will, at present we offer niether an overwrite mode nor an append
mode.
Remember that it should only take one keystroke to delete that pesky
wrong
character, and of course you'd have to use a keystroke to put
yourself in
overwrite mode anyway.
