Yep, that's what I figured but - how to pull it down?  Does it come out?
Do you need finger nails, bit of force, whatever?  If you can aexplain
more I'd be grateful.  I'm never very good at taking these new (rather
stiff) things apart.

I have this drive as well. Carol, there is a little flap on the front 
of the drive that you pull down. The USB and optional AC adapter 
connectors are inside the flap.
