To my knowledge, the Flash Drive has a little chip which makes it run. As far as I know, Humanware is the only one who can install it.

Yes, someone did borrow the unit. I was just curious as to what
possibilities they had. For instance, they couldn't recreate the
flash
disk. Just trying to learn from these situations.

I would guess whoever had this unit would have to send it back
in. Did I read right, that someone borrowed this unit?

I saw that. does this mean the unit needs to be sent in for
repairs?

The Flash Drive pretty much runs things. Nothing can be saved
in
KeySoft, so if you're going to use it, you can basically only
use
the cf card.

Rhonda,
does that mean the unit is no longer useful until It goes in for
repairs?

Sorry, but the Flash Disk is gone. That unit won't help you,
unless you just want to write on your Cf card.

Subject: [Braillenote] BN QT reset question

Hi all,

I borrowed a Braille Note QT 32 for a few months from a friend.
When I got
it from him though, the flash disk was not accessible. I think
it basically
means that I can't use the planner, email and the internet. The
manual on
the device is also missing. I do have the Keysoft 6.11 compact
flash disk. I
inserted it in the unit and pressed the reset button for 5
seconds. But it
came up saying that the flash disk is not available and asked me
to press
the reset button with no keys pressed. I did this but the result
is the
same. I suppose there is a JKL and 123 reset but I can't
understand the
purpose of these two. I tried both though with no luck.

Is there a way I can get back the flash disk? Any help in this
regard is
greatly appreciated

Thanks,
Kiran Kaja
