Hi, A lot of laptop PC's use this kind of adapter, the kind where there is a rectangular box and cables are attached to each end of the box, one which plugs into a socket and the other which connects to the PC, or, in the BN family, the BNPK. I don't know how the MPOWER is set up.

Hi Pam,
I don't know why some ac adaptors consist of two parts, but for the record, one part of my adaptor consists of a small box with two rectangular prongs on one end, and the plug which connects to the Voicenote on the other. The other part of the adaptor consists of the part which plugs into the power outlet, with a rectangular connector at the other end. The rectangular connector plugs into the two rectangular prongs.
 Hope this makes sense.
David

Two parts? What's the purpose of the second part of an adapter? My
braillenote mpower power supply consists of only one part.

Hi Vicki,
No, my Voicenote mPower's ac adapter came in two parts as well, and, like Julie, I thought one of the parts was missing, but it was not. The newer Braillenotes shipping with Keysoft 6,11 also came with the adaptor in two parts, as a friend of mine purchased a Braillenote in May this year. However, when I purchased my original Voicenote QT 4 years ago, the adaptor consisted of the part that plugged into your power supply at one end, while the other end plugged into the Voicenote itself.

Is the BNPK the only BN family member that has the AC adapter in two parts
rather than one? No big deal, just curious.

No. It uses the same adapter.

Hi there,

I use to have a problem with my adaptor.
I would not bring it home, theBN would die over night, I would forget it
at home, the BN would die at work.
My work around is, "TWO ADAPTORS!"
I don't need to worry about forgeting it and I can charge my BN at home,
or at work.

QUESTION:

Will the MPower use the same adaptor or will I have to buy another adaptor?
Thanks,

who still does not know what number he is because he forgot to call tech
support.
