Thanks Jonathan - so when, realistically, does this need to be purchased so that we don't go paying more for the upgrade?

At what point does it become necessary for us to purchase an SMA? -- Carol [EMAIL PROTECTED] -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Saturday, October 15, 2005 12:14 PM To: Braillenote List Subject: Re: [Braillenote] sma Hi Greg, I think there is some confusion here. HumanWare wore the cost for those customers who purchased the downloadable SMA and elected not to receive the compact flash card. If you had to purchase another SMA, it would have been because you had one count remaining on your SMA, and version 6.1 used two SMA counts, one for the operating system and the other for the software. If you have an electronic SMA and the upgrade is on compact flash, you cannot get the upgrade with your SMA and vice versa. I found this out when I upgraded to 6.11. I had an electronic SMA and Humanware told me that I could not get the upgrade with that SMA and I had to purchase a new compact flash SMA.
