I am still new to the BN so pardon me if this is actually in the manual. Being a newbie, I have discovered that some things just aren't in the manual or they are difficult to understand at first.
Hopefully, I will be starting grad school in the fall and teaching so I need to figure out how I am going to do things. First, in the past, I have used duxbury and a braille blazer at school to emboss my notes for reading in class. 2. These may be basic questions so sorry about that. Can I connect directly to the embosser and use the mPower to emboss without needing a translation program? My thinking is yes since you can save things as braille or text and convert back and forth but thought I would get this clarified. 3. I am using a qwerty keyboard and I know I can switch to allow me to type directly in braille. I am still working on getting grade two down so when I use a slate and stylus I use both grade one and grade two. When I used the embosser at school, I simply had it emboss in grade one since I couldn't have a mix. Is it possible to type in braille on the mPower and use both grade one and grade two at the same time? If so, will it emboss exactly as I typed it? Can I then ask the mPower to also save the document as a text or word file so I can print it out in print? I will be doing creative writing and teaching workshops so I need to have my copy of the comments in braille to read from during class but I also need a hard copy in print to hand back to the students. Thanks for your help.
