Hi Sandi,
If you go into the options Menu, then choose Braille display options by
pressing b there's a choice I think might help. The second thing in the
list is: "display mode". You can either press r for reading, or press the
outer most thumb-keys until it shows reading.
Now comes the fun part. if you want your new paragraphs shown as the $p
like they are being, press e-chord. if not move down to the option where it
says "show new lines in reading mode as" If you want the $p, this should be
set tt "linear braille format". Pressing h-chord at this point will show
you all the options here. Personally, i like mine shown with a 2 space
indent when I'm just going to be reading something. That is chosen by
pressing the letter b. The BrailleNote says "indent 2 cells".
I hope this helps.

Good morning all, First, why does it send my yahoo mail when I push the
enter key. it is very frustrating to me. Thanks. Now here is my ?. I did
not know that you could put your braillenote in reading mode. How neat,
now is there a way that it can be set so every time i open up a document
it is in reading mode and not switch back to automatic. Thanks, Sandi Now
I will push enter and send it. LOL
And it didn't do it. Lol

Just another idea, for what it's worth.

Dear Kelly,
I use a BrailleNote. I know you can get rid of them by simply deleting
them one by one, but when you have a huge document, say a book, there's
no
way, as far as I know, to remove all of them.

aHi Nicole,
Welcome to the list, first of all.
i use a BrailleNote. so getting rid of these on a VoiceNote may be
different. I just put my cursor on a $fm format marker using the touch
cursor button above any of the cells. Then, delete the current character
with backspace and dots 3-6. I mainly see these when I'm having my
Braille display in edit mode, and trying to clean up extra spaces and
the
like in a file, though.

Dear BrailleNote and VoiceNote users,
I am a new member on the list. My name is Nicole. I was wondering
if anyone else found they were having problems with the format markers.
I'm not talking about the ones that are center or bold, but the ones
that are an ed sign, then an f, and then an m. You cannot search for
them or replace them. Has anyone else been having problems with them?
Nicole
