The one I have is made by Hitachi. The differences between microdrives and Compact flash cards are, 1, microdrives have moving parts and CF cards don't, and 2, CF cards are 3.3MM thick, while microdrives are 5MM thick. Remember, this only applies to Compact Flash microdrives, *not* PCMCIA microdrives.
