Why doesn't the classic support eloquence? Is it something about the hardware? Can't more be done to improve the media players on the classics, or is that hardware again? Just curious. ----- Original Message ----- From: "estin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED] >

Yay! I'm excited that Eloquence supports French, that will be fun, as i take
French and have the multilingual program. Oh, but I don't have an mPower.
Oops. Oh well, when I get one, it will be cool to have. Grin.

Hello Maria,

It is possible to define up to 150 fields in KeyBase for each database.

Currently, there is only support for English and French with Eloquence
running on the BrailleNote. Spanish, Italian and German users will have
to
use the default KeyNote speech in KeySoft 7.

Subject: [Braillenote] Two questions about KeySoft 7: Number of
fieldsallowed per database by KeyBase and languages supported by Eloquence

Hi all,

I'm curious:

1. What's the maximum number of fields one can create for each database
created in KeyBase? Is there a limit?
2. At present, does the incorporation of the Eloquence synth only
support English, or does it handle other languages as well? If it handles other languages, which? All of those which are supported by Eloquence, or the French, Spanish, Italian, or German languages for which HumanWare has
developed packages to include preset key combinations for inputting the
accented characters for that language? Does the addition of Eloquence
mean
that HumanWare will now be offering multilingual packages with either or
both synths, or is the Eloquence speech support for other languages
already
incorporated in to every unit without the need to purchase a new
multilingual package for those who already have one and just need/desire
to
have the Eloquence speech support added? Will the current multilingual
packages even function with KS 7, or are new ones being developed for
that
purpose?

Thanks,
Maria
