What I really like is when it says Mississippi for Miss.

When I first got my braille note, I didn't like the speech much. I
considered it far superior to my old braille and Speak, but not nearly as
clear as eloquence and especially not as clear as my dec talk. I still like
eloquence better because it has a better track record for pronunciation and
better inflection. however, having said that, I routinely read books on my
BN. Usually web braille, but when I'm busy or reading at night, I use
speech and not braille. and I have gotten very comfortable with the speech
and even enjoy some of its quirks. Such as, saying "inches" for in. Or
"number" for no. Unless Human ware had a specific reason for wanting to
switch speech, I think the one on the BN is just fine. Well, unless there
ever was a time a customer could choose the speech desired, such as you can
do with GW's lap talk.

Hi,

All Humanware would need to do for that, would be to resurrect Keynote Gold
for Windows XP. I wish they would do that. The software Keynote Gold was
exceptional speech in its time, and I used to use it with Window-Eyes, but
because of Pulsedata, as they were then, insisting on using a now ancient
method of copy protecting it, you can't now use it under Windows XP. If
they got rid of Everlock, and did a little development, and resurrected it
for XP, you could use it for JAWS, Window-Eyes, or whatever you wanted to
use it with. I would prefer them to do this, than to put Eloquence, a much
inferior synth, into the Braillenote.

Just my opinion.

All the best

I love the BN's speech better than Jaws, infact, I wish Humanware would
market their speech in to a screen reader.

Oh, I don't know, I like eloquence, but I also do like the keynote speech
engines as far as pronunciation.peech quite a bit. It's definitely one of
the more accurate

Hi,

Maybe now since we have the m-power machines. Maybe it would be possible
to add the multilingual eloquence as an option for speech software on
the braillenote that could run with KeySoft?
