Yes, the shuffle does support audible.

no. you don't have to do that. There are quite a few audible compliant
MP3
players, including things like the book port. Audible has a list of them
on
their site. In time, i hope the braille note will be one of them.

Messing with the format of the audible files in any way is illegal and
a
clear violation of the agreement one signs when one becomes an Audible
customer. So somebody wishing to play Audible programs on a BN will
have to wait for HW to make the BN an audible-ready player.
