I suspect that one piece of this has to do with the e-mail software that sent the message, as well as the e-mail software that receives and delivers it. I find that in KeyMail, the sender's address almost always shows up if you arrow through the first "screen"--the one with the sender, the receiver, and the subject. The sender's address often appears surrounded by < and >. To copy and paste it, you'd have to move your cursor past the < sign.
Tedious, but on my PC I use Outlook, and to find the sender's address you have to use the JAWS cursor. And then sometimes it doesn't show up. I have concluded that some people have settings in their e-mail that show only their screen name, like "John Smith" and not [EMAIL PROTECTED], for instance. And then there are those whose screen names come up as "doglover" and maybe their e-mail address is entirely different. My point, you ask. There is no one foolproof way to do this, since software varies from package to package in how it handles this stuff.
