Leslie, Isaac changes the settings differently than I do. When you press O chord, then C, press the space bar once for dial up or lan connection. Press Enter. I usually press dots 3,4 chord to cycle through a list of modems, which I believe is Hayse Compatible on Com one. When you find the one you want, press Enter. Then, you'll be asked for your Service User name. Generally, you don't have to fill in the whole thing. At least, on my service, I leave out the dot com or dot net. Then, you put your password in, which if it has lower numbers, do it in lower case, or nemeth numbers. Press Enter. Then, put your name in. Press Enter. Then for the user name, you put in all of it, including the dot com or dot net. I am guessing that you would say "yes" on the authentication. Most of them require it these days. You shouldn't need a DNS address, or a proxy server. Hopefully, this will help some.

Kind Regards,
Rhonda Clark

Rhonda,

Yes, I am working in the midst of the connectivity as I got your
message.

I can not find any help from the PK. What will I type for "at"
and other
charaters in the Braille Computer. I think "at" is 345 dots.
Dot is 46
dots. Slate is 34 dots. Backslate is 16 dots. Am I correct?

Ofcourse, PK has "Hayes" on Com1. I am doing here now but much
slow because
I need to read the User's Guide.

Leslie, from the Main Menu, press O chord, C. Press Spacebar
once for dial up or lan connection. Press Enter. Give it a
configuration name. Press Enter. Make sure your modem name is
in there, as well as the phone number you are using. Remember,
generally on the service user name, you don't have to add the dot
com or dot net.

Rhonda,

Thank you for remind me about the Connectivity. I need to hold
the problem
because I forget how to do. I need to read the User's Guide. I
hope that I
will re-learn from it how to setup the connectivity.

I am going to use dial-up via laptop's modem. I will bet it will
be too
complex for me. I did give up a new months ago because it kept
to say
"error 608".

I will see what result next.

Hi Leslie:
From the Main Menu, press E, S, D and A. You should be able to
create a new account there. Are you using wireless or dial up?
If
you've lost your setting, you'll need to go into the Connectivity
menu
as well. Does it say there is no such file, or what is
happening?

Kind Regards,
Rhonda Clark

Subject: [Braillenote] bookmarks

Hi,

I've noticed that if I'm reading several books in the book
reader, it
doesn't keep the places of each book. I don't know if the places
are lost
after doing resets or what. But is there any way to bookmark
while in the
book reader? Thanks.

Pam
