Rhonda and everyone:
You are correct. There are a lot of good questions asked on the list.
Sometimes, they cannot be answered because we don't have the answers.
Concerning the cell phone issue, I know I don't have an answer, and I
wouldn't go and simply make one up.
I believe that concerns about the behavior of the products should be
expressed, if they are not, then improvements will not happen as quickly
as they might.
In fact, I would think that Humanware would welcome good bug reports and
good questions.
I still say, however, that if an individual is attempting to make a
major buying decision, this mailing list should not serve as the primary
source of data. Rather, it should be a part of the research that will
lead to the decision, one way or another.
I would recommend contacting either of the two major blindness
organizations, find out if either of them have done some independent
testing. I would talk to trainers who aren't dealers for any product,
and I would try to find out if AFB has tested the device in question.
Unfortunately, it is difficult to get an independent opinion, but I
think that short of having a unit to work with for a week or so, the
only way to be certain as to a decision that involves as much money as a
Braillenote Mpower is to do as much digging as one can.

But, Jonathan, my friend, I wasn't referring to you. I commented
regarding people saying all we do is complain. My point was that
legitimate questions are actually being asked on this list.
