Hi dean, Thank you! Is this something like, "because I said so, that's why."? LOL! Just kidding!
I know I saw a message earlier, (I think it was from Richard Van Driel), asking about restoring the backup from an older BN onto an mPower. I am on the transplant list and am trying to foresee any problems that might arise when restoring all my data to the new mPower when it gets here. Thanks again, Sarah -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Dean Jackson Sent: Monday, August 08, 2005 4:20 PM To: Braillenote List Subject: Re: [Braillenote] saving favorites for mPower swap Hi Sarah, It would work but I just thought that you'd want to do it in the way I suggested because, well, I suggested it. No, I'm kidding! The reason I suggested this is because the database that already exists is your main email database so if you replaced your database with the newer one, you'd have more data to worrry about. Would it even work? Thank you for your patience and understanding with my repeated questioning. If you go and copy an email database over from a BrailleNote that you had the use of while obtaining the mPower, you would replace your existing email database with that one. Therefore, if I were in that situation, I would save what I needed, to KeyWord documents and copy the documents over to the mPower upon its arival. If I use another unit for Email while mine is gone, and want to keep the Email from that unit, will I be able to copy an Email database from v6.11 to an mPower? I hope these questions make sense. However, the mPower upgrade software, which is run by the subsidiaries, will bring the content of the flash disk across to the new unit as part of the upgrade process.
