Peggy, I'm brain storming right now because I didn't expect to open a flood gate, especially when I said "Sorry . . . back out, got it wrong!"
I can't reach my serial number without taking the unit out of the case, but if it was closer to the edge then I could reach, and a number sign would make it so much easier to decide which way round it went to read the number! OK - I'm out of this one now. -- Carol [EMAIL PROTECTED] -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Peggy Kern Sent: Friday, September 16, 2005 3:52 AM To: Braillenote List Subject: RE: [Braillenote] A SUGGESTION Good point, Carol. It might be nice if they could put it on another part of the unit. I'm looking at my BN Classic as it sits open in its case. How about on the righthand side of the Braille Display? Hmmm, but mine's an 18-cell unit; maybe the cells on the 32 would take up too much room. I'll have to look at my 32-cell unit at work. Or how about on the righthand side of the speaker? I wonder if that would be big enough? Or maybe the one on the bottom of the unit is just for those who service our units, and we're supposed to use the one in the information stuff off the main menu. Something in the manual would probably be helpful for new users.
