I have a question regarding this subject as it relates to web Braille.

Is is possible download the books without it showing the line or paragraph
breaks? If so, what do you do from the NLS page? Thanks.

Subject: [Braillenote] Line Breaks

Terry, I'll do my best to answer this question. The way ISP's,
(computers), are set up allow so much space. It is the way a
page would be formatted. A line is broken up in to so many
characters, and you will see that line break, even when you
didn't give it one. That's a very por explanation, but it's
accurate; just not put very well.

>Rhonda;
>See if you understand what I am asking. As I arrow, word by
word, line breaks appear and then disappear after I arrow past
that area. If I put the hard return or enter it puts the ed and
then p but says new line. What is the difference in the two.
Why is it using p for a line?

>Hi Sarah;
>Your idea seams to be working, but when I put in an enter it says
new line but shows on the display, ed sign and then letter p.
Should it not be an l for line. I thought p was for page.
>Good thing I had an idea what what quick stop was, because after
putting one line brake in, I tried it and I think it jumped to
the next name and kept rambling on and on.
>Looks like I will have to go through the file and put the hard
returns in. thanks for your help.
>I sure better save this for next years nut sale, so I will be
able to do it with out any questions and by then I will have my
m-power!
>By the way I have $203.75 in nut sales, already.

>Space with dot 4 goes from line to line. Try putting a return
between each name and see if it works.

>Hi Sarah;
>I am keeping records of my nut sales for the NFB. I am using
comma inbetween each item to be ordered and semicolon between
each person. You might say each record. for some reason I can
not get the space 4 to work with using these symbols. It jumped
almost to the end of my file and read the very end of my file.
Why isn't it reading each simicolon as a section? As of now, I
can only go by word with space 5. I also have found if I do not
hit the 5 hard enough, it has been putting double quotes, dot 5
in my document. It took rhonda and I a while to figure out where
they were coming from. Remember, over a week ago, when my
braille display was writing garbage. that is my first time ever
doing a 4,5,6 reset.
>Let me know what you think could be the cause. Should I use
periods instead of semicolons?
>Thanks.

>Hi Dar,

>Try pressing space with dot 4. This should take yuou out of the
list and on to the next line.
