Interestingly about microdrives and I just remembered this, The mpower will not recognize my 1 gb IBM microdrive while the tosheva to my recollection did pretty well. I misslayed it so can't say for absolute sure.

Carol, I have both a Toshiba and a Kingston micro drive; my GPS stuff is on the Kingston and music is on the Toshiba. If I could just remember to always insert the micro drive before switching on, I could use it. But forgetting and getting locked up and then having to battle reset loops isn't fun, and it just might be easier to get additional compact flash and/or SD cards. I've never used or even seen an SD card or jump drive, but I love cf cards.

Peggy

Peggy,

I have it too, just in case I need it when I come to use the GPS.

I notice you have the same problem with your micro drive as we do, that
you need to insert it first . . .. Is this the Toshiba one you're
using, I wonder? If so, maybe we'll both have to give it up for
another.

Dean, thanks. I didn't wait to see if you answered my question about
the backspace with g thing, but the instructions you gave here did
the trick, and I'm out of the loop. I'm holding onto this message
for future reference!
