Gail, Humanware has a deal where those of us with the original
BrailleNote can get on a list to send our old units in and have the
Braille display transplanted into a new mPower.

transplant. They are starting with the Bt units first, but they
are ahead of what they said they would start the transplant, which
is great! They started calling them in for transplant on September

Actually, the more you do it, the less burdensome re-calibrating gets.
I used to be scared to death that I was doing it wrong, and now once
I've got it chattering, I just periodically yell, "Die, battery! Die!"
The hardest part for me is to decide when I can be without my BN for a
few hours, as I like to let it chatter itself to death, rather than
continuing to use it. I can hardly wait to see how the new
re-calibration works with the mPower. Hope the transplants start soon.
