Hello!
To my knowlege, it connects to the parallel port of a printer and the
infrared does the rest.

Hi Kylee and list,
I called Enabling this morning and ordered what they called an infrared
adapter. It cost $62 plus ten dollars shipping US. That's much much better
than $250. The lady I spoke with at Enabling was saying this infrared
adapter was used widely by students in California. They would match the
infrared port of their BN to the adapter and they were embossing! It is
worth a try and since my embosser is close to twelve or thirteen years old,
I'm not in any mood to buy a new one just yet especially when mine is still
working so well.
The lady I spoke with did say that the ET and the Juliet PRO embossers are
being made with bluetooth and USB ports. Don't know whether one can have
both or whether one must choose between the two. This hasn't been the case
with some of their other embossers as of yet. The little Romeo Attache does
have a USB port but think it acts more like a serial port. At least, that
is the way it sounds from what I have read.
I'll keep the list posted on what I find with this infrared adapter.
