Hi, Robert. I hear there is a cheaper, 50 dollar version. The problem is that I thought I heard someone from humanware once say that it might cause a problem is used with the braille notes; something due to differing amperage. I don't remember exacltly, but enough to scare me off. I would sure like it if Dean or Jonathan would take a look at the Igo or the one from Kensington sold by Costco and let us know if they would work with the MPower. It would be great to have a car charger just in case.

Yes, I have an i-go power adapter. It has tips that plug into the device and the other end is connected to a power cord and you can also use the cigaret adapter or the adapter within the cigaret adapter on the airplane. I can charge my braillenote, cell phone gps laptop all by using different tips with this one charger.
You can by this at Radio Shack for around 150 or so.
