how about the cost on card readers for a PC? i don't use the internet/email parts of the BN at home, because that would involve unhooking the modem cables from the CPU and connecting the BN/mPower and then reconnecting them all again. Also, I don't have an ethernet card at this time, and it won't be in my budget for quite a while, so when I do internet on the braille note, or on the mPower when I get my transplant, it would have to be dial up. It would be faster and easier to download to my PC and transfer it to the SD card and then install any future upgrades to the mPower. As I said previously, my current card reader only holds compact flash cards, so I will have to get another one. Obviously, I don't need this right now, but I'd like to have price ideas for the future. Doesn't actually sound like the cards are all that much less expensive than the CF cards, but I think that would depend on where you find them.
i am, by the way, not trying to be argumentative about it. i was off this list for a while and probably missed the discussion of SD cards being needed for future upgrades. Or I just didn't read any threads on topics I didn't know at the time were important. So I appreciate any information, so I can have the things I need when I need to have them. That's not a bad price at all, and I can use it for extra memory or for future updates.
