Hi there, Rhonda, Chris and all, Forgive me coming in on this one . . ..
Is there a specific list then for the mPower? When I was talking with Tech Support today they indicated that the Netgear card (we already have) works with the PK but they were rather suspicious about using it with the mPower. I tried to install it today. It was recognised straight away but then I had a problem with my PC which stopped me from finishing the installation. I abandoned it but, next time I put in the card, it was not recognised - nor a few times after that! Then we crashed again "Big Time". This time it was an engineer's reset (at their request) which worked easily but nothing else had done it! I'm now a little loath to try that card again. I learned though that this sometimes seems to happen with cards and PDA's if they're not installed straight away. Somehow the PDA seems to think it's a "No Go". If anyone has any suggestions as to what we should now do about a suitable card then please let us know. I'll try connecting things up with BlueTooth tomorrow, at least to get going somewhere other than our home . . . and see how things go! We still love it and have been working hard tonight on more WP options - formatting and the like! I can't wait though to get to my email away from the computer and the NET also. -- Carol [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Carol [EMAIL PROTECTED] -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Chris G Sent: Monday, August 01, 2005 4:07 PM To: Braillenote List Subject: Re[8]: [Braillenote] Problem With Wireless Card and My PK The following are supported and tested wireless cards that will work with a BrailleNote PK: 1 Ambicom WL1100C-CF revision 2 only (serial number WL2342xxxxxxxx) 2 Linksys WCF12 Wireless CompactFlash Card 3 SanDisk Connect Plus CF WiFi + 128MB Memory card 4 NetGear MA701, Wireless Ethernet Adapter, 11Mbps, 802.11b, CompactFlash II 5 Socket Card Low Power Wireless LAN type I CF card Some other cards that are compatible but have not been tested include: 1 Meritline MWL-672 Wireless LAN 11b Compact 2 Dlink DCF-660W, Wireless Ethernet Adapter, 11Mbps, 802.11b, Compact Flash 3 Symbol Spectrum NetWLAN C 1 -- Chris G <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> On Mon, 01 Aug 2005 09:59:59 -0500 Rhonda Clark <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: RC> And in these conversations, remember that the pk doesn't use the RC> same wireless cards.
