Miranda, you can use a floppy disk drive on the classic units,
but not the mPower.

Subject: RE: [Braillenote] Hard drives and Floppy drives?
Hi!
What if I had data on a floppy disk? Other than utilizing the
floppy drive
on a desktop PC, is there any way to retreive the data from the
floppy disk?

You have to get a card reaer I prefer a Lixar usb card reader,
that can read
sd, cf, and on other. You can uy it at Wal-Mart for about 25
dollars or
there are cheaper ones I think. I hope this helps you out.
Then, you
insert a sd, cf card in the card reader then, the my computer
will have
three drives you can open these cards.

Hi!
Yes, but if I had stored data on a floppy disk, how would I get
the data
from that disk without using a desktop PC? Or, how would I
transfer data
between the SD card or flash card and my desktop PC if there
isn't an SD
card or flash card reder available on the PC?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
In Christ, Miranda

Hi Miranda, You don't need a floppy drive the BrailleNote has a
flash card
drive. On each side. On the back side it is a Compact Flash
card and on
the side it is a storage
card drive. It is confusing I know. To make it short you can
save work on
both of the drives What this means is that you can put the
compact flash
card in the storage card drive. Meaning you can use both of the
drives.
Write back.
From Jose Lomeli.

Hi!
What hard drives and floppy drives are compatible with the BN? If
possible
and/or applicable, I need them for all three models.
Thank you for the help.
