Hi Don,

I'm thinking that the hang up after current operation that Bob just
mentioned does work as well to stop those messages from being downloaded
next time. For, I've downloaded part of my email and then read and deleted
and emptied what I had downloaded, and then gone back and those messages
that I had
already dealt with weren't downloaded again. However, on those times that I
told the BN to hang up immediately, then all the messages were there to be
downloaded again, even those I had already read and deleted and emptied.
But, after all, grin, with the PK and trying to conserve space on the flash
disk,
my goal was both to read and then remove those email from my flash disk.

Hi,

If you want to only download part of your email and not download it again
next time you attempt to download, try reading those messages you do
download and
moving them to the trash. But, do not empty the trash. This should prevent
them from being downloaded again.

Even if you do tell the bn to delete messages from server, they actually
aren't deleted physically from the server until all messages have been
downloaded.

This is true for the bn and also for many other email programs which run on
the pc.

If you cancel the download of email in the middle of the process which is
what you're actually doing by only downloading a certain number of messages,
they will
not be deleted from the server until the whole batch is finished
downloading.

That's just the way email in general works.

Don
