Hi all,

Ahem, technical mode on! Terry the difference between connecting two
BN's together and a TTY option for the BN is that TTY technology,
unlike computer transmissions are done using an entirely different
code and means of transmission. A TTY uses the Baudot method of
communicating it's code, it is done by changing the pitch of the
on/off sendings. It's a bit hard to explain, but I would imagine that
making a BN able to receive Baudot, and more importantly to send
Baudot is rather complicated. The speed isn't even the same. It may
have been developed so that it can be sent faster, and others can
correct me if I'm wrong, but last I knew TTY communication was at 300
baud. So these are hardware issues you're talking about here, folks.
They may be solvable, but they may not. Technical mode off.

Now allowing two BN's to talk to each other, or to talk to a computer
may be an easier do. That, I believe is a software problem, and may
be something doable in the near future.

Of course, my information may be faulty, and if it is, disregard it.
