Peter: a laptop can run a full version of Windows (mine runs WinXP beautifully) whereas a PDA like the BN runs on CE. As Richard very clearly explained, a compact version of Windows is a cut-down version, which just doesn't contain the things you're asking for. as I tried to explain to another lister on another topic, every machine and system has its limits. The BN must conform to the limits of the Windows CE operating system. Just accept that the BN, though increasingly feature-packed and versatile, is never going to be the same as a PC, whether it's a desktop or a laptop.
