Hi Sarah,

Hang in there, you're not alone! <Big Friendly Grin>
Have you gone into wireless options and disabled both search for new network
and connect to non-preferred network? I did this, and suddenly found myself
just slightly more sane when surfing the web with the BN. As far as the file
download gremlin, I know a bunch of us are struggling with this. I'm sure HW
knows about it and is working hard, as usual, to get it fixed and get all of us
unhappy downloaders to stop crying. I do have to say, it sure does make it
interesting to collect games, my latest packrat hobby. <Smiles all around!>

Sarah

If there is a better place to send this than to the list I am certainly willing
to send it to anyone appropriate.

I too have now had the problem of only being able to download one bookshare
file before all subsequent downloads attempted will at some point fail. I
believe this problem also may have prevented streaming a file as well, since
all I got when I tried to stream something was a lot of progress beeps and a
please wait message that never went away. My BrailleNote was then frozen and
all keystrokes caused error tones and nothing else. Reset again, and it is
getting a bit ridiculous.

I also want to comment again on the message of "connected to ..." while using
wireless. It is hard for me to explain just how annoying and disturbing I find
that message while browsing. Can it be that I am really the only person who
finds this a hinderence to both productivity and enjoyment in browsing? Does
this message really serve a purpose when you can at any time go and check your
connection in the options menu? Being told you are connected when you first
connect is useful, and it would also be good if you were told if a disconnect
occurs, but this constant chatter or theft of the braille display for that
purpose seems really pointless.
I may be a bit over sensitive to recurring messages, since they give me a
feeling of impatients, of time or battery running out, and of anxiety, but even
if people do not have a tendancy to feel pressed by such things, I am sure they
have better things to do than hear or read that message. I really should have
timed how long it is between messages before writing this, but I know it is
very frequent. If an option can not be created to turn off these announcements
completely, PLEASE at least make them less frequent. I think, other than bug
fixes, this would be my number one request, and I'd really prefer to have it
changed before the next version, since to me it seems like a programming
defect. There are so many options and features that can be turned on or off, I
really can't imagine why this wasn't one of them.

Thank you so much for reading my entire message. Please don't take this as a
rant, but instead a simple plea for my sanity. :-)
