Good one Kylee! I am the one who Wrote to Jonathon, long ago and asked him to include the message he was responding to. As you can see, he has responded. It sure has made following this list serve a lot easier. If we did not include the original message, there would be a lot more questions like, what are you talking about? What is that command for? Think about it Ann and others. One message can prevent a lot of trash. One thing to remember, after reading the original message, if you know what it is about, you do not have to read the previous messages in that chain. they are there to help others. Just delete it if you do not need it. Thanks Jonathon! Terry Powers

Hello, Anne If you mean that many of us quote the original message in the reply, then I'd like to say I find that can be extremely useful, both in quoting from another's message to reinforce a point (which I've had cause to do in the last few days), and to get the gist of messages if they've somehow missed my inbox or I've inadvertently deleted them as sometimes happens when I'm dealing with tons of mail from this list. If you're worried about those of us who like to debate, then isn't that what a list like this is partly about? I like to do this in a robust (but above all accurate) fashion, which is why access to an original message is a boon. Please tell me how this is selfish?
