what did you do? I can't get it to stay away at all.

I am running KS7, and can verify the behavior which Bonnie
described.

Interesting. I was able to delete the Christmas book and after
having done a reset, it is still not there.

Mike, thank you for this information. I wasn't aware that the
Christmas book has now taken up residence on the flash disk,
mainly because I never looked in the my books folder. (I read
from CF cards mostly). I suspect there is nothing you can do to
keep these things from coming back during a reset. This is
because, when a reset is performed, the BN restores anything that
originally came on the flash disk and that has been erased from
the Flash disk. This is not something we can control. I found
it very useful once when my BN, for no apparent reason, erased
every byte of data on the flash disk, and when I performed a
reset, all the default files were once again placed on the flash
disk. The inclusion of the Christmas book and the games appear
to be part of KS7. As you have noted, this didn't happen with
the Christmas book in earlier versions of Keysoft.

Sarah

A christmas Carol is in the my books folder on the flash disk of
the brillenote as of KS 7 every time you do a reset the books and
the games are recopied to the flash disk again. I also wanted to
know if you can stop this behavior so you don't have to go
through and delete the games each time.

The message was picked because it was unintelligible and we are
trying to help you answer your questions. No, nothing will be
harmed if the games and demo book are deleted from the flash
disk. One more question, and I'm only trying to clarify further.
By "flashouldisk", do you mean the "flash disk" or do you mean
the Keysoft system disk? I ask because there is no "demo book"
on the flash disk, but there is a book, A Christmas Carol,
located in the books folder on the Keysoft system disk. Please
be aware that no offense was intended by these questions, NONE AT
ALL!

the message didn't work and what i meant is are the games and
demo book needed on the flashouldisk? If not how can you keep
them from reappearing after every reset. Why did you pick this
message to make your point though?
right

Hi Mike,

It may well be just me, but I have absolutely no idea what you
mean in the
below message. Not to run the current theme of proofreading into
the ground,
and I'm not picking on you personally. This is just a prime
example of why
it would really help if listers could take just an extra minute
and proof
their posts! Please? And, Dean, I appologize if this is
considered off
topic. I'm just trying for a little understanding.

Rachael
