This is Joseph. I believe so. The virtual circuit reset thing is that you didn't started the synchronization properly in the following scenarios: You didn't connected the cable properly (in the case of Bluetooth, you didn't paired with the PC).
You didn't setup the partnership correctly.
In this case, the problem might be caused by the cable issue. I think you should contact HumanWare support staff for further advice. I hope this information may hlep you. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ray Campbell" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hi Joseph:

I had also tried synchronizing with Active sync 3.6 and I kept getting
the error "An error has occurred, the virtual circuit was reset by the
remote site." If I go to the Humanware site, is the version of Active
sync I will find there 3.8? If so, I'll try downloading it there.

Thanks,

This is Joseph. I'm not sure about this either. It is recommended that
you use ActiveSync 3.8 or earlier.

Subject: [Braillenote] Address List Synchronization Problem

Hi All:

I'm having a problem getting Keysync to synchronize my address list with
MS Outlook. I'm using a Braillenote M-Power BT running Keysoft 6.2.
I'm running MS Outlook XP on a Windows XP Home edition, with Microsoft
Active Sync Version 4.1 or 4.01 installed. This was the version of
Active Sync I found on Microsoft's website.

What happens is this. I have created a partnership and checked that I
want to synchronize contacts. I connect to Active Sync on the PC with
the BN and then from the BN Utilities Menu, I go to Synchronization. I
get the Keysync menu and choose Synchronize now.

The BN says it is synchronizing, and gives me a running percentage
figure so I can keep track of its progress. Once the sync is done,
however, when I go into my address list there are no fields populated in
the records even though records have been put into the address list.

My Outlook entries are populated like this:

Under the first field that comes up under each contact entry,
Window-eyes says "full name." I'm typing in the name, first and last.
For example, the name John Smitnh I have typed as "John Smith".

I have the file as field set to Last name, First Name. So, in the case
of John Smith, it would be filed as "Smith, John".

Finally, I at least have the e-mail address entered in the contact.
Other fields may or may not be populated based on what information I
have.

Can anyone tell me why the address records are not getting properly
populated? What I mean when I say the fields are not getting poppulated
just to be clear is that I go into the address list, hit "l" to look up
addresses, then on the "Selection List for Address" prompt, I hit enter.
I then hear and see nothing from the speech or on the Braille display.
When I hit space bar to go into the record, I hear "end of list." I can
press space with dots 5-6 and it doesn't give an error tone so it acts
like it's going to the next record, but again, no data is there.

Thanks,
