Hi Vicky,

Thanks. I've been charging as soon as I can get to an outlet when the low
battery message occurs. I didn't know about the KeyPlan repair utility,
that's good to know.
Best Regards,

Les

Hi Les,

I've spoken extensively about this on the list before, so I won't say too
much this time. But, suffice to say, that I've had the same problems with
my battery as you. Now, my PK is great with the battery, and gives plenty
of warning of being low, even with wireless and CF cards. But, with the
mPower, should you get the battery low warning, don't wait for the battery
critical message; but, rather, better get the unit plugged in right away, if
yours is anything like mine, anyway. For, if you don't, then the unit will
kind of hard reset itself, and thus cause you to have to re-establish your
ActiveSync partnership to get the wireless ActiveSync to work again.
And, then, too, you very possibly may not have alarms that have been set in
the planner go off as they should. Mine missed an appointment yesterday.
But, in trying to experiment and all, I did a repair of the planner using
the keyplan maintenance utility, the first time since my last mPower hard
reset, and now all my alarms for the appointments seem to be going off at
their correct times.

Subject: [Braillenote] Battery Problem

Hi All,

Recently, my battery level was at 38% and then suddenly dropped to 8% with a
battery low message. So I calibrated the battery and all went back to
normal. Now, this morning, I started at a level of 60% and went on-line
wirelessly. Within 10 minutes, I received a low battery message, and when
checking battery level, it showed a reading of 8%. I checked the battery
gauge and it shows as being accurate. I'm running an mPower with KS 7. Has
anybody experienced this battery behavior? Is there something I can do
about this inaccurate reading, or is this a known issue? Thanks for any
assistance.
Best Regards,

Les
