This is Joseph. I'm not sure about the .m3u playlist issue. The playlist
format should be .m3u, not .pls. You don't want to mess around with KeySoft
System Disk/Windows folder becaseu this is where Windows CE and KeySoft
stores important system files. The file you mentioned might be the file that
is played when the progress tone is enabled. It is not HumanWaer who writes
the device drivers. It is the device manufactuerers who produce the device
drivers for Microsoft to include it in the Windows CE operating system.
There is a feature in wordprocessor where you can manipulate Unicode
characters. It is explained in the User Guide under the topic "extended
characters." You cannot unprotect the table file because it is hidden, and,
it is a system file. In the Media Player, to move to next and previous songs
in a playlist, use SPACE with dots 2-3 and SPACE with dots 5-6 keystrokes.
(It only works in Media Player only.). hope this information may help you.

Subject: [Braillenote] A few random questions
Hello all:
First, I have an MPower running KS 7. When I create a playlist it runs
fine, until I get up to around twenty songs. After that, I got the
message, "the file format is invalid". I deleted a song or two (back to
the number it had worked with) and got the same message. I created a new
one, under ten songs, and it seems to work okay. Has anyone else had this
problem before? Also, is it possible for the next version of KS to include
the media hot keys: BACKSPACE+5+6/BACKSPACE+2+3 to move forward and back
through playlists and/or preset radio stations? I say BACKSPACE because
ENTER with those dots jumps to unlinked text in KeyWeb, but maybe
BACKSPACE could be used for that so ENTER can continue to be the media
control "function" key.
Anyway, a very odd question: in /keysoft system disk/windows, there is a
.wav system file called "keysoft click.wav". There are also "error",
"delete", and so on, but what is the "click" file for? I've never heard it
used.
As far as importing Excel documents, how can this be done? There is no
.csv option under the "Save As" dialog, so how can a spreadsheet go to
CSV?
My Unicode Table file is somehow protected, so I cannot change keystrokes
or displays for Unicode. I tried unprotecting it with ActiveSync, but
Jaws wouldn't read the checkbox, and BN seems to not like users messing
with any file on the KS system disk.
Can any additional drivers be downloaded? Lexmark seems to be a big brand
around me (thumb drives and printers). Is there some way for a user to
update the driver database, if that is how it works at all?
Thanks, and believe me, I am NOT complaining. I was just wondering about
those things, and a few hundred (?) users seemed better to ask than one
tech support representative whose time I can save by not bugging him/her
in the first place. KeySoft is by far the best interface I have ever
seen. The main thing I would love to see in it would be an SDK. Mr.
Mosen, I know you emailed me a while ago and said that was being
considered.
Have a great day all,
Alex
