Hi Carol: Great to hear from you.
I was interested in your comparative impressions as currently I'm
using both products for different purposes, and whilst I love the
PK for all the reasons you state, my main problem with it is that
I find that if I'm brailleing very quickly with the speech turned
on it will crash from time to time. However I love it in
situations where I need my computer with me but just want a very
portable PDA, or when on the move using GPS.
Regarding the case, no you have definitely got the right one,
that's to say the case I got with my PK and also the one which my
wife got with hers has the hard top. I agree the pocket is a
definite must if ever they get to rethinking the design of the
case.
Finally regarding the Sandisk card, I searched in google for
something like 128 wifi combo card. However if you head on over
to
www.expansys.com
and stick something like that in their search engine you should
find it no problems.
Hope my information is helpful, and again thanks so much for your
comparative comments.

Subject: RE: [Braillenote] PK - PROBLEM WITH INSTALLATION OF
KEYSOFT 7 - ANDNOW MY PERSONAL COMPARISON
Hi Terry,
OK - I made a choice to have the PK because Mike has the mPower,
so of
course I can use both and so can he. I chose the PK for myself
because
I need to be careful about the weight I'm carrying around on my
neck,
shoulders and/or waist/back and even the difference of weight
between
the two was worth a serious consideration. I love the "more
memory" of
the mPower and Eloquence, I have to say, but am well content to
use CF
cards and it seems the PK doesn't appear too fussy about having
one left
in permanently - or am I wrong about this?
I am now looking for the Sandisk 128 WIFI and memory card here in
the
UK. Have you seen it anywhere recently and does anyone know
exactly
what I should put in the "search box"? There are so many to wade
through and I'm finding it a little difficult to do that right
now.
The other things I love about the PK are its size, the springy
feeling
of the keyboard and its quietness. It will even fit in a
handbag!
(That's a purse to you out there in the States!) I almost forgot
that
the battery consumption is better too! <SMILE
One more question, Terry, if I might: Do you have a case with a
pocket?
I thought the one I recently saw did have a pocket but mine is a
harder
case and doesn't have one. (I was hoping very much for a place
to keep
the odd card or two but perhaps that's not really possible
anyway.)
Cheers now and I look forward to your answers.

And from a first impression Carol do you prefer the Mpower or PK?

Well, I don't usually reply to myself but just want to let
everyone know
that it's sorted, thanks Dean. It did work and I now understand
that
the System Disk had the space allocated but all files were not
fully
inflated.
I'm a very happy camper right now! <SMILES

Hmmm!
I haven't put any files onto the Keysoft System Disk and checking
free
space on drives didn't appear to be working yesterday either. No
resets
made any difference.
It's looking like a re-install???

Hello Carol,
I would check the amount of free disk space on the flashdisk and
would
free at least 2 MB, just to be sure. Next, perform a reset and
all the
manual should explode on the PK, letting you see it in its
entirety.

Hi all,
We took delivery of our PK today and I notice that we only have
one
chapter in the Manual folder on the Keysoft System Disk. This
means
that the Index and Table of Contents features don't work either.
Does this mean a re-installation, or is there another way
around? I
don't yet know if any other files are missing.
Thanks in advance for help given.
