This is Joseph. Exporting means that you are exporting a native format file to a format that is not native. Importing is opposite of exporting. For example, if you are translating a plain braille file to KeySoft braille file, you are importing a file. Also, for example, if you are tranlating a KeySoft text file to a Microsoft Word file, you are exporting a file. If you wish to import Microsoft Word file, plain braille file, ASCII text file, or rich text format file, you should select the item "import file" from the translation menu. If you wish to export KeySoft text file (*.kwt) or KeySoft braille file (*.kwb), you should select "export document" option. The fastest way to translate a file is by saving the file with the desired format e.g. if you wish to translate a plain braille file to a text file, you can save it with the ASCII text format (from .brf to .txt extension). I hope this information may help you. ----- Original Message ----- From: "penny golden" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Subject: [Braillenote] Trouble translating then deleting folder

I tried using export to change the brf books of the Bible and save them as keysoft files in a separate folder. Well, the BN (Mpower, bt KS7) indicates that the folder is there and that the translation did take place. But no matter what I do I cannot find any files in the new folder. So I decide to erase the folder files and all. Files erase, folder does not erase. Why? It is being used by another process or system--I think it says. Now I have 2 folders that I cannot get rid of; I am no further in the process. Should I have used Import? Well, how do I get rid of the folders?
Best,
Penny
