Angie:

First, both of these are possible. Sorry, but I have a BT, and do not know the QT commands. Here goes anyway: Links: put your cursor at the beginning of the web address in the email, then set the top of block by accessing the Block Commands menu and pressing T. Then navigate to the end and set the bottom of block, by pressing B in place of T. Now copy block to the clipboard by pressing C in the Block Commands Menu. Open KeyWeb and, at the "Address?" prompt, press BACKSPACE with V to paste the contents of the clipboard. The link will appear, and you can now press ENTER and you are all set.

Addresses: when you are looking at the info fields (subject, from, date...) of an email, navigate to the "from" field. Press BACKSPACE with K to copy the entry to the clipboard. (KeySoft will affirm this). Now go to the address record you want to put the email address in and, again, press BACKSPACE with V at the email address prompt. You will probably get a name along with the address, so be sure to get rid of everything (especially those < and > signs that bracket the email address in KeyMail). Save the record, or changes, and that address will be saved where you put it.

The BACKSPACE with K command also works with the time in the stopwatch, and any other email field. SPACE with V pastes the clipboard into almost anywhere that the regular clipboard commands are not available: find prompts, filename prompts, URL requests, and the like.

Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: [Braillenote] grabbing addresses and links

This is a situation that gives me a lot of trouble with my
braille note taker. I am hoping there is a solution.
Let me explain what I'm talking about first... I haven't ben
blind for very long. Although I know how to read braille, I can not write it yet. I do not have a brailler, an embosser, or even a slate and stylus that would allow me to jot down a few notes to look at later.
Unforunately sound recordings are out too because I also happyen
to be deaf.

I was never very clever with a computer. In the old days when I
could still see, I would write an email address or web site link on paper, then when ready, re type it into the email program or navigator.
I can't do that anymore.

What I want to know... Is there a way to grab an email address
from key mail and then some how put it directly into the address list?

Is there a way to take a link from email and somehow put it into
the browser?

At this point in order to move data from one program to another
I have to memorize it, change programs, then retype it. Some times that works and some times it doesn't. I'm hoping there is an easier way to do it.

Thanks
Angie.
