I wouldn't worry about removing your wireless card. I haven't had anything bad
happen because I left the wireless card in either slot when switching on, but I
have lost data when I left a data storage CF card in when switching on.

Dear Knowledgeable people on the list,
I have a wireless card in my unit in the CF slot. I'm using BT
mpower 7. Should I be removing that card when the unit is turned
on?
Thank you.
I will, hence forward, remove CF cards before starting up. I do
try to learn from history--though, I do not always do such a good
job of it.
Blessings, Pen
