I would think that if one works then they all should work. It might simply be that these cards don't necessarily last forever and I use mine all of the time on several devices. I understand that Sandisk is generally considered to be a quality product and most of the other Sandisk cards I use work fine. The weird part is that it works in the side slot but not in the rear slot and seems to work fine in the rest of the devices I use it in.
