Hi Terri P.;
I talked with Rhonda, yesterday about the Scan R. she has a friend who has
one, so she has seen it at work. It sounds like it might just do what I want.
I want to be able to identify my mail and pitch the trash and keep the bills.
I am having to struggle with out a reader and my husband is not very
cooperative. When he says what something is, I put in big letters CCM for
Chevy Chase Morgage, as an example. I have different people helping me and
spread it throughout the month, so it is not a hardship on anyone, just one or
two checks at a time.
sounds like a great deal. I will try it out at convention. I never like to
buy with out trying it first.

Terry Powers

I've used both a stand-alone and scanning software and I prefer using a
stand-alone scanner.

:I agree with Richard. The stand alone units were designed for a niche
: market, namely people who only want to read, and do not want or need any
: additional computer functionality. If you already have a PC, you have
: no need for such a device. And, a PC with OCR software will still be
: less expensive than one of these devices.
