I have been able to get 3 local stations in strongly. Sometimes they are off from their stated number by one, for example the station identifying itself as 103.3 might be at 103.4 on the bn dial. I definitely get a much stronger signal outside or on the bus than I do in my home or office, but I have stereo's with antenna's in those places, so it really doesn't matter. I have only found myself using the radio in transit when I wanted to tune out the rest of the world.
I think it is a fun feature, and it has made me curious why our BN's have been hiding a fm radio receiver in them. Last I checked you couldn't just create a radio from software.
