Hi Mark,
I have used setting of 44100 and 22060 with 16 bits. I am fairly
picky about sound quality and don't really like 8 bits unless I'm
really worried about file sizes.
I have the memos going to a Compact Flash card so I don't have to
worry so much about the file size.
I use a record level between 5 and 10 depending, and they have all
worked well for me.
Make sure you did not accidently switch the record button source to off.
I also leave the enable recording tone to yes so I know I've hit the
record button.
I hope you find a way to get it working. It is a pretty nice feature.
