Yes, I got my transplanted 32-cell back in mid February and had to install the 7.0 update too. I was blocked from the list by something at the time so I did not or could not comment. I had understood that if you transplanted the (current) version of key soft would be installed. Well, it only took me a few minutes to perform the update, but, the comments generated from HumanWare in this regard are miss-leading.
I do hope customer support here in the U.S. and communications between the various offices, (reference the updating of the upgrade database which is done in N.Z. and not accessible for months) improve over this next year. I love the product, I use it daily, and my only experience with a competitor was at a conference nearly six years ago when their product did not even work, the technology is wonderful, but the problems with the service and communication are beginning to be a sad but obvious problem. I have at least two people tell me recently that given the opportunity they would switch based solely on service issues and to me this should not be an issue. For your developers the product is wonderful, not crazy about the new battery charging scheme but otherwise I like what I have. I just hope now that I have my transplants done I don't have to deal with service for along time. Tech support said they were supposed to transplant this stuff to my new unit. I wish in a future update Humanware would have a way for people to make a copy of something as they're backing it up, because when you restore it, it's no longer backed up. You have to make another copy of your own. Just a suggestion. The browser seems much faster, and I was able to listen to Acb Radio a little bit. It's getting more exciting all the time, and Jonathan really brings it to life when you're waiting on hold for tech support. Well, thanks for reading.
